WE GLOBAL | 3rd ANNUAL GLOBAL BELL RINGINGS
For the 3rd year, a global collaboration across 43 stock exchanges around the world plan to “Ring the Bell for Gender Equality,” to celebrate International Women’s Day 2017 (March 8th). The events are a partnership between Women in ETFs, UN Global Compact, UN Women, the Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) Initiative, IFC, and the World Federation of Stock Exchanges, to raise awareness about the business case for women’s economic empowerment and the opportunities for the private sector to advance gender equality and sustainable development.

Bright and early on the morning of Monday, January 26, 2015, WE had the pleasure of hosting our 2nd Annual Women in ETFs Breakfast at the ETF.com Inside ETFs conference in Hollywood, Florida. The theme this year was the Investment Outlook for 2015, featuring two prominent investment strategists, Liz Ann Sonders, Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Strategist of Charles Schwab & Co., and Mary Ann Bartels, Managing Director and CIO of Portfolio Solutions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.Sharon French, a member of the WE leadership and President of F-Squared Capital, moderated the discussion.

At the Global Indexing & ETF Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona on December 7th, IMN hosted a panel discussion and networking event for the Women in ETFs (WE) group highlighting women’s efforts in the ETF industry. The events brought together 60+ attendees. Prospective members had the opportunity to hear a panel discussion with the founders of WE, all leaders in the ETF Industry. They talked about their careers, and shared insights and advice about women working in the industry. After the panel discussion, attendees had a chance to meet the founders and to network with peers.
